Ner konda parvai-Women liberalisation in india

I recently saw a Tamil movie named" Ner konda parvai" which is the remake of Hindi movie pink.The movie is a kind of genre that highlight's the problems faced by the woman in the country who are in the path of liberating themselves from the suppression and old practice of staying at home and the movie also brings in light the fact that how liberal women are labeled and categoried in our society based on their dress,appearance and expression of freedom and the different moral standard's for men and women in our society.
The movie also highlights the objectifying of woman as an sexual object and not treating them as a fellow human being with feelings and emotions like men.The movie speaks about the violence and crimes against women and how they are percieved in our society and even in our law & judicial system. It has been difficult for women to talk against such crimes and incidents in the fear of being labelled and the lack of readiness in law enforcement to investigate and bring justice to the offenders either because of gender domination or any other such domination,due to which the women have been suppressed from their justice and liberation.
I personally believe that such incidents and crime are due to the gender gap maintained in our society,which is very diverse and complex itself,though there has been substantial improvement in women education and empowerment starting from Raja ram Mohan Roy abolishing sati in 1829 to the recent triple talaq law,the root problem lies in our family where still women are considered as a weaker gender and denied their equal rights,though the literacy level has substantially increased,still a fear prevails among parents and family members in letting their daughters and women to liberate themselves or express their freedom due to the various incidents that has occurred as like the incident in the movie and many other danger they may face on the road of liberation.The solution lies both within our individual mind set on women and also with the government ,who should bring in effective ways of bringing harmony for the women.Also instead of thinking more in the lines of women safety,we should think about women harmony in society,may be that is where the solution lies.
Overall the movie is an excellent narration and speaks about an very important issues in our society.
